Youth Group (6th–12th Grade)

The Chair Basketball game drew 30 enthusiastic participants across 6 teams, won by the 'Globo Gym Cobras.' It was the first time the tournament was held outdoors.

Youth lunch sales earned $453 toward the National Youth Gathering in 2028.

The youth's lunch fundraiser, held at the congregational meeting, earned $607.

Concordia invited members to join a new youth ministry team to help plan events and fundraisers and assist Mr. Tim with youth group events.

DCE Tim Buss led a group of roughly 13 youth, young adults, and chaperones (including Chip Brown, Maggie Brown, Shelly Hector, and Jesse Lowery) to the LCMS National Youth Gathering, themed ENDURE, in New Orleans July 19-23, 2025. After returning, the crew shared their experience with the congregation, and Graham Davidson thanked the congregation for the financial support that made his trip possible, calling the closing service with thousands of Lutherans the most impactful moment.

The youth held their annual Bowl-a-thon on February 23, 2025 at Seven Ten Bowling, newly allowing adults to be sponsored, with proceeds supporting the National Youth Gathering. Once all pledges are paid, the event will add close to $2,100, bringing the group near its $23,000 goal.

Concordia held its Chili Cook Off on January 12, 2025 after the 11:00 service, with ticket voting and a 50/50 raffle. It drew 12 pots; Bernie Davidson took first place and Mike Flicek second, Al Radek won the 50/50, and the event earned $610 for the Youth Group's National Youth Gathering fund.

The youth held their second Annual Chair Basketball Tournament fundraiser, with Thrivent seed money applied for and other area churches invited. Originally announced for September 29 and rescheduled to late November (November 23, 2024) to draw more teams, the event was held at $25 per player and raised around $450 for the National Youth Gathering fund.
